This multitude of instruments played by the band members, provides an inexhaustible array of possible arrangements, which is used deliberately by the band.
The range includes very traditionally sounding duos of hurdy-gurdy and bagpipes ... and as the "celtic" sounds of fiddle and low whistle, backed up by mandola or Italian baroque guitar ... plus the groovy combination of clarinet with diatonic accordion combined with driving bass lines. There are almost jazzy settings, incorporating saxophone or piano, and sometimes sound surprises - some strangely floating, electronically sounding patterns might well emerge as the result of simply combining a jew's harp with flageolet notes played on the mandola.
